Craigslist alternative???? Free apartment search websites?
I am currently on a scavenger hunt to find an apartment in New York (Brooklyn, Queens area). I usually go to craigslist.org for my apartment searches but I would like to know if theres any other website thats like craigslist where I can search.
1. I do not want to go to yahoo real estate, msn real estate as those places send you to other websites that you have to pay to search for a place to live
2. I cannot afford to pay a real estate broker to do the work
3. I refuse to pay to search for an apartment this is why I usually check craigslist.
Basically, I’m looking for alternate websites that can help me search for available apartments for free.
ALSO, I am registered with the nyc.gov website to receive emails when apartments applications are available. Please help.
