House prices in New Zealand and England?
Ok, this is to anyone who currently does or has lived in New Zealand and/or England. I was just wandering, approx. what the real estate is like over there (in those 2 areas). Like, which are the best towns/cities to buy in, what are prices like over there, where are the most expensive and what are the most expensive areas costing? Which areas would u buy in (if u had the money)?
BTW, im from Australia, so I’d be interested to see about these 2 countries, in comparison to Australia. Sydney’s quite high, average is like $520,000 AUD for a house now, although Perth is now starting to catch up.
Ok depending on the Area in Britain the price varies a hell of a lot in London centre you’ll get a one bedroom flat for no less than 300 000 pounds a house in the centre probably close to the million mark, I use to live in a pretty rough area called Lewisham in a 4 bedroom house 4 years ago it was worth 600 000 pounds, now it’s robably closer to 750 000. Edinburgh is almost as expensive other cities are slightly cheaper but the housing market in britain has went through the roof over the last few years. My grans house was bought in 1998 for 75 000 pounds, her neighbour has just sold hers for 125 000!!
New Zealand by comparison is very cheap you can get an apartment in the centre of auckland for $300 000nz, best place to buy now is up north, round Kerikeri or in Gisbourne, both are expanding and the property is pretty cheap just now but I’d give it 5 years and it’ll be worth a fortune!
